Camden Door Controls is an ultra compact programmable 7 day timer. It features a large digital display, and 16 flexible easy-to-program on/off schedules. An internal permacell keeps the programs and display readable in the event of a power loss or brownout.

PreparationMount with the four mounting screws and allow clearance for the timer body and connections. Use indoors and protect against moisture, extreme temperatures, shock and vibration as directed by the installation manual; the specification enclosure description does not authorize outdoor installation. Confirm the purchased voltage version and whether the First-Man-In option is included. Set the current day/time and the required ON/OFF schedule, and leave the timer in AUTO for scheduled operation. For an electromechanical load, follow the supplied-varistor instruction; the optional First-Man-In relay already has a varistor and the manual says an additional one across the timer outputs is not required in that configuration.
ElectricalThe generic CX-247 is ordered as a 12V or 24V AC/DC version: match power to the actual unit rating. The timer POWER red/black interface uses two conductors. Its output is yellow COM, black NO and brown NC; distinguish the black POWER lead from the black NO lead by terminal group. COM with one selected throw uses two external low-voltage conductors, or three with both. The optional First-Man-In relay has separate black/white power, green-pair pushbutton and grey COM/blue NO/orange NC lock-output interfaces; do not assume this option is included. The specification conflicts between 16A prose and 20A feature/table contact ratings; confirm the delivered unit rating before selecting the load. Contact ratings are not operating-supply requirements. Field cable type, gauge, shielding, physical routes and local timer-to-option interconnections require the selected installation design.
