These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AutoDoor Experts website and client/technician portals, and your engagement of AutoDoor Experts for automatic and pedestrian door hardware supply, installation, and service (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing our website, using our portals, or requesting a quote or service from us, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our Services
AutoDoor Experts provides automatic door hardware supply, quoting, installation, and service call support to commercial and institutional clients in Ontario. Specific scope, pricing, and timelines for any project are set out in the applicable quote, order, or invoice, which forms part of the agreement between you and AutoDoor Experts for that engagement.
2. Client and Technician Portal Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your portal login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate business contact and project information when requesting quotes or service.
- Portal access is provided for the purpose of managing your quotes, projects, invoices, and service requests with AutoDoor Experts, and may be suspended or revoked for misuse, non-payment, or security concerns.
- Accounts are role-based (e.g., client, technician, administrator); each role may only access information relevant to its function.
3. Quotes, Orders, and Pricing
Quotes generated through our portal are estimates based on the information and specifications provided at the time and are subject to confirmation. Prices, unless otherwise stated, are exclusive of applicable taxes (including HST), which will be added at checkout or invoicing as required by law. Quotes may expire or require re-confirmation after a period of time.
4. Scheduling
Installation and service appointments are scheduled through our portal and coordinated using Google Calendar. Scheduling confirmations and reminders may be sent to you by email. We will make reasonable efforts to honour scheduled appointments but reserve the right to reschedule due to technician availability, weather, site access issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
5. Payment and Invoicing
Invoices are issued through our portal and are due according to the payment terms stated on the invoice. Applicable taxes (including HST for Ontario clients) will be itemized on invoices where taxes are enabled. Late payment may result in service delays or suspension of portal access. Payment records are maintained for accounting and legal record-keeping purposes.
6. Warranties and Limitation of Liability
Any product or workmanship warranty applicable to a specific installation or service will be stated in the relevant quote, order, or invoice. Except as expressly stated there, our Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AutoDoor Experts is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the website, portals, or Services. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Ontario or Canadian law.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse our website or portals, including attempting unauthorized access to another user’s account or data, uploading malicious files, or interfering with the normal operation of our systems.
8. Communications and Notifications
By using our portals, you consent to receive transactional email notifications related to quotes, scheduling, invoicing, and account activity. These are operational communications necessary to deliver the Services, not marketing communications.
9. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or portals after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
