Preparation	Confirm the actual host accepts this solid-brass chrome-finish mortise cylinder and the selected cam. This is the keyed-different variant; confirm the required keying before fitting. In a compatible CM-1000 assembly, align the cylinder side grooves with the faceplate retainers, seat the cylinder flush and secure its rear lock ring. Retain the anti-rotation features; any minor filing must follow the host instructions and must not remove the retainers. Adjust the switch/spacer so the cam presses centrally and allows proper reset. Other host assemblies require their own matching instructions.
Electrical	This solid brass mechanical mortise cylinder is a passive mechanical part with no electrical connection of its own. Wiring for the associated hardware is a separate requirement.
