PreparationVerify the opening is plumb and square and inspect latchbolt condition. Select the deadlatch-platform option for a listed compatible lockset brand and model. The strike fits the existing 4-7/8-inch frame preparation with minimal preparatory work; remove the dustbox if necessary and allow space behind the strike so the wires are not pinched.
ElectricalSolenoid operation is 12 VDC or 24 VDC for continuous duty. AC operation is 12 VAC, 16 VAC or 24 VAC only for intermittent duty, with 10% maximum duty cycle and 2 minutes maximum on-time. Select the voltage-labelled connector for the actual system voltage and verify the input with a multimeter before connection. Optional monitoring contacts are separate from strike power.
