The HES 4500C Series electric strike is designed for installation in 2" UL 10C fire-rated frames with 1/2" drywall penetration. It features a low-profile 1-3/8" depth, heavy-duty stainless steel construction, and a unique keeper-pin locking design intended to exceed the ratings of the frame, door, and locking hardware.

Low-voltage wiring Connection count needs review
PreparationThe frame must be cut for the strike using the cutout template that matches the lockset type. Schlage L9000 and ASSA ABLOY ACCENTRA 8700 locksets have a separate template. The strike is installed in the jamb cutout with the supplied #12-24 x 1/2" screws. The correct faceplate must be chosen: offset for mortise locksets, center-lined for cylindrical locksets. The 12 VDC or 24 VDC plug-in connector must be selected to match system power. Fail Secure is the shipped mode, and conversion to Fail Safe is optional. Conversion negates the fire rating.
