PreparationChoose the exactCM-6000 locking pushbutton/plate and compatible box or jamb arrangement; confirm push-to-lock/key-to-release action. Fit the selected contact block(s) and make only the required numbered-terminal connections with adequate rear clearance before fastening the plate to its supporting box/frame. Use the matching original plate template and supplied fixing hardware. Check free mechanical operation and actual momentary/maintained or locking action before service; extra stacked contact blocks and optional illumination remain separate choices.
Conditional connectionsSwitch contact circuit to the external controlled circuit (e.g. lock/shut-down control), via contact block screw terminals: cable runs quantity unspecified; conductor count unspecified; wire type not documented; size unspecified; shielding unspecified; rating unspecified; endpoints CM-6000 contact block screw terminals to external controlled circuit; when Installation configuration is Base product. For an N.O. or N.C. single contact block, wires are inserted at the contact block's top and bottom screw terminals; CM-6050 includes both N.O. and N.C. functions. Cable run and conductor counts are not documented for the field cable.; Additional stacked contact blocks, each with its own screw terminals: cable runs quantity unspecified; conductor count unspecified; wire type not documented; size unspecified; shielding unspecified; rating unspecified; endpoints additional contact block terminals to external controlled circuits; when Installation configuration is Optional accessory selected: IF additional contact blocks are stacked or attached (up to three attached across the back, or stacked for more than three functions), each block needs its own wiring.
