The manual makes gasket use optional; fit it at the rear of the selected in-wall main assembly or surface base with wiring perforation and fixing holes clear. Confirm part size and fit before removing the backing. A gasket alone does not establish an environmental rating or the switch electrical requirements. The old manual mounting-table headers name CM-49A/CM-49G while its parts diagram/current rows identify CM-79A/CM-79G; confirm the actual 6 inch components before mixing parts.
