Camden Door Controls 4000/4100 Series of push switches are heavy duty pushbuttons, specially designed and manufactured to meet the stringent demands of exit controls. Buttons are available in either green, red, or blue, 1 5/8” diameter. They are supplied with a 1/4” thick brushed aluminum plate in 1 3/4” or 2 3/4” widths.

Product specifications
Low-voltage wiring Required
BasisStructured, independently qualified product connection evidence
PreparationProvide mounting for the narrow mullion faceplate; the documented complete unit measures 114mm high x 44mm wide x 54mm deep. Set the pneumatic delay with its thumbscrew within the documented 1-60 second range. The modular assembly uses a bayonet interlock and needs no set screws. Do not use the replacement faceplate component dimension as the complete button body depth.
ElectricalLow-voltage field wiring is required for the selected switching circuit. Use the white lead pair for normally open operation or the red lead pair for normally closed operation: two external conductors for each selected pole. If both independent poles are used, four separate circuit conductors are needed; the schematic shows no shared common. The two white and two red factory tails are not field cable runs. The pneumatic timer requires no electrical supply. Select field cable type, gauge, shielding and physical run quantities for the actual connected equipment and site; these are unspecified in the manufacturer manual.
Preparation requiredYes
Electrical wiring requiredYes
Conditional connectionsSwitch contact connection: two N.O. leads (white) and two N.C. leads (red) from the 2 x SPST (Form Z) pneumatic time delay contacts to the controlled circuit: cable runs quantity unspecified; conductor count unspecified; wire type not documented; size unspecified; shielding unspecified; rating unspecified; endpoints pneumatic time delay connecting wires (2 white, 2 red) to external controlled circuit (e.g. lock or access control input); when Installation configuration is Internal accessory connection; not field cable: Base product factory connecting wires: 2 white (normally open) and 2 red (normally closed), per the wiring diagram for the CM-4085/CM-5085 series. The CM-4185 is named in this document as the narrow/mullion-faceplate variant. The leads are factory leads on the switch; the number of field cable runs and cores to the external circuit is not documented.; Selected normally open pneumatic-switch circuit: cable runs quantity unspecified; 2 conductor(s); wire type not documented; size unspecified; shielding unspecified; rating Select field cable type, gauge, shielding and run quantity for connected equipment and site; unspecified by manufacturer.; endpoints Selected low-voltage controlled equipment to CM-4185 white contact lead pair; when Installation configuration is If the normally open pole is selected, use its two white leads. This pole is independent of the other pole; wire both pairs separately if both functions are used.; Selected normally closed pneumatic-switch circuit: cable runs quantity unspecified; 2 conductor(s); wire type not documented; size unspecified; shielding unspecified; rating Select field cable type, gauge, shielding and run quantity for connected equipment and site; unspecified by manufacturer.; endpoints Selected low-voltage controlled equipment to CM-4185 red contact lead pair; when Installation configuration is If the normally closed pole is selected, use its two red leads. This pole is independent of the other pole; wire both pairs separately if both functions are used.
