Camden Door Controls CM-400 Series mushroom push switches are medium-duty push-button controls available in red, blue, or green, with a 1 5/8" (40mm) diameter free-spinning button for protection against vandalism. They are supplied with an industrial grade stainless steel faceplate in one gang or two gang widths, and are UL/CSA approved, rated 6 amps @ 30V DC.

Product specifications
Low-voltage wiring Required
BasisStructured, independently qualified product connection evidence
PreparationProvide the single-gang mounting arrangement for this model and allow clearance behind its faceplate for the contact assembly and wiring. Secure the faceplate with its supplied mounting hardware. Insert wiring into the top and bottom contact-block terminals and tighten the screw terminals. Follow the numbered terminals and verify the installed contact blocks before commissioning; do not identify contact operation from the mushroom button color.
ElectricalFor a selected low-voltage controlled circuit, this momentary model provides normally open contact operation. Each used SPST contact connects through two external circuit conductors. Follow the numbered contact-block terminals. Verify the actual contact block and supplied spade lead set against its terminal markings. Factory spade leads do not establish field cable-run count. Physical cable-run quantity, field cable type, gauge and shielding require the connected-device instructions and site routing. Contact-load ratings describe the switched circuit, not a separate switch power-supply requirement.

Electrical wiring requiredYes
Conditional connectionsOptional LED wiring, if the switch was ordered with an LED (CM-xxxx-70xx to 76xx options). Single-color LEDs are wired to a 12 or 24 VDC supply, DC only. The 24 V version uses a 1.5 k ohm resistor.: cable runs quantity unspecified; conductor count unspecified; wire type not documented; size unspecified; shielding unspecified; rating unspecified; endpoints LED red (+) lead to LED black (−) lead to 12 VDC or 24 VDC supply; when Installation configuration is Optional accessory selected: IF an LED option is selected or ordered. This does not apply to the base CM-400 N/O switch. The manual does not document the cable run count or the field-cable boundary for the LED circuit.; Optional bi-color LED wiring with an SPDT switch, if a bi-color LED option is ordered. It uses red, green and black LED leads, a 560 ohm resistor on 12 V or a 1.5 k ohm resistor on 24 V, and a 12 or 24 VDC supply.: cable runs quantity unspecified; conductor count unspecified; wire type not documented; size unspecified; shielding unspecified; rating unspecified; endpoints bi-color LED red lead to bi-color LED green lead to bi-color LED black lead to SPDT switch to 12 VDC or 24 VDC supply; when Installation configuration is Optional accessory selected: IF a bi-color 3-wire LED option (CM-xxxx-7612 or -7624) is selected. The drawing shows an SPDT switch, but the base CM-400 is documented as N/O only. The cable run count is not documented.; Selected normally open switch-contact circuit: cable runs quantity unspecified; 2 conductor(s); wire type not documented; size unspecified; shielding unspecified; rating Field cable type, gauge, shielding and physical run quantity unspecified; select for controlled device and site.; endpoints Selected low-voltage controlled equipment to CM-400 normally open contact terminals; when Installation configuration is Standard CM-400; use this normally open contact for the selected controlled function. Two conductors serve this contact; factory spade leads and physical cable-run quantity are separate.
