Camden's SureWave touchless switches (CM-324, CM-325, and related CM-331/332/333/336 models) are hands-free door activation switches with adjustable operating range (1-30") and adjustable time delay (1-5 seconds), designed for economical door activation while reducing the spread of germs. CM-324 is line-powered with 1 relay for general use; CM-325 offers short-range sensing suited to confined areas such as restrooms.

PreparationFor the base single-gang CM-325, use an in-wall box that is plumb, square and flush with the wall, or a surface box that is secure and plumb. The supplied sealing gasket is recommended for outdoor or wet locations. Bring the specified four-conductor basic field connection through the rear or side and leave approximately 6 inches for connection. Finish wiring and mode settings before applying power. Secure with supplied screws, adjust range and time delay, then fit the faceplate without overtightening.
ElectricalSupply 12 or 24 V AC/DC to the two red non-polarity-sensitive power leads. Blue is relay NO, green COM and violet NC. For the selected normal low-voltage output use blue/green; for the documented fail-safe selection use green/violet with the specified mode setting. Each selected output pair needs two external conductors, separate from the two-conductor supply circuit; do not add both alternative output pairs together. The manual basic installation calls for four conductors. Its 11-inch 22 AWG leads are factory pigtails and do not specify field cable gauge. Current is 50-60 mA and relay contact rating is 5 A at 30 VDC. Choose field cable gauge/type, route and physical run quantity for the installation.
