PreparationUse the narrow stainless-steel faceplate and matching narrow gasket; the manual lists CM-23D as the mullion surface-box option. Confirm the delivered box depth and use its actual mounting template before drilling. Fit with the supplied mounting screws. Set detection range, output duration/toggle and internal/external LED mode for the application. Measure the DC supply before connection and isolate every unused lead individually.
ElectricalUse filtered, regulated 12 to 24 VDC within +/-10%; never connect AC. Peak draw is 45 mA. Sensor harness: red power positive, black ground, green relay NO, blue COM, purple NC, yellow remote green LED and white remote red LED. Manual-override harness: red NC, black COM, white NO. These are distinct harnesses despite repeated colours. For the illustrated door-operator input, the sensor NO/COM and manual NO/COM operate in parallel and share a two-conductor external operator connection; the DC supply uses a separate two-conductor external connection. Keep maglock/strike configurations separate. For remote LED control install the mode jumper and pull yellow or white to ground; plan the return path for the actual remote controller. Both contact ratings are 1 A at 30 VDC, not power-supply requirements. Select field cable gauge/type, routing and physical run quantities for the chosen configuration.
Conditional connectionsCM-221M/46N regulated DC power input: cable runs quantity unspecified; 2 conductor(s); wire type not documented; size unspecified; shielding unspecified; rating Field cable type/gauge, routing and jacket/run quantity unspecified.; endpoints External filtered regulated DC supply to Sensor red positive and black ground; when Installation configuration is Illustrated door-operator circuit only; maglock/strike alternatives and remote LED routing require their own design.; CM-221M/46N parallel IR/manual operator input: cable runs quantity unspecified; 2 conductor(s); wire type not documented; size unspecified; shielding unspecified; rating Field cable type/gauge, routing and jacket/run quantity unspecified.; endpoints IR NO/COM and manual NO/COM locally paralleled to External low-voltage door-operator input; when Installation configuration is Illustrated door-operator circuit only; maglock/strike alternatives and remote LED routing require their own design.
