Low-voltage wiring Connection count needs review
PreparationSelect the exact 7105 strike insert and faceplate drawing for the actual frame and lockset. Locate the vertical lock-face and horizontal latch centerlines, align the mortise deadlock trigger with the lip-bracket ramps or the cylindrical latch with the strike opening, then transfer the centerlines to the frame. Prepare the opening to that exact drawing. Install no-weld mounting tabs only where required, assemble the insert/faceplate to the lip bracket with the specified hardware, connect the selected power circuit and secure the strike. Check actual latch/backpressure and deadlocking-pin geometry; faceplate 04/05/07 and 4/7-family applications are separate.
ElectricalSelect the actual ordered strike insert voltage and AC/DC supply arrangement before connection. The 4/7 installation manual directs incoming power-supply wiring to the terminal screws on the strike insert. The strike is not polarity sensitive, but observe the required polarity where a suppression diode is used for the access-control circuit. Verify actual input and supply output voltage with a meter and use the matching insert rating. Optional AC/rectifier/buzzer arrangements and local suppression components are separate from field cable/run quantities. No universal coil current or field conductor count is inferred across the available inserts.
