Preparation	Use the exact delivered side-load column mounting template and sensor instructions to set the wall positions and cable entry. Select the outside open, inside open and privacy lock locations. Test contact activation, inside release, outside lockout, door-contact reset and LED indications. Set the hands-free sensors to external colour control when driven by the controller and confirm their detection range and activation time.
Electrical	The reviewed normally-unlocked arrangement uses the CX-33 power input and separate strike supply. DRY1 receives the outside open contact, DRY2 the inside open contact, DRY3 the lock contact, and DRY4 the normally-closed door contact. Relay2 drives the operator activation loop; relay1 switches the strike circuit. Each selected input or operator loop uses two external low-voltage conductors. Each hands-free sensor has red/black power and a green-NO/blue-COM contact circuit. Green and blue connect to the local column-switch black leads as shown. Purple NC is an alternative factory lead. External LED control uses yellow for green and white for red/blue, with the shared black return; that shared return is already part of sensor power and must not be counted twice when selecting cable. The default open mode pins give internal colour control; the diagram requires shorted pins for external colour control. These are circuit conductors, not physical cable-run quantities.
