LCN 8310 Series is a modular system of touchless and push-plate door actuators, wireless transmitter/receiver sets, mounting boxes, escutcheons, weather/trim rings, safety sensors, and accessory kits used to remotely actuate LCN automatic swing-door operators (e.g., 4630/4640, 7900 pneumatic auto-equalizer, 9100 Benchmark, Senior Swing 2800/9500, Mid Swing 2900/9700 series). Touchless actuators and hardwired push plates require a wired, low-voltage power/control connection back to the door operator control box; most are also compatible with a 433 MHz or 900 MHz wireless transmitter/receiver pair for wireless actuation signaling instead of a run of activation wire. A subset of push plates (8310-852WP/853WP) are fully wireless/battery powered with no field control wiring at the plate itself (only the receiver, sold separately, is wired to the operator).

Product specifications
Touchless actuator supply (8310-813) 12-24 VAC ±10% or 12-24 VDC +30%/-10%, SELV-compatible power supplies only; power consumption < 1.5W; output is a voltage-free relay (max 60VDC/125VAC, 1A resistive, 30W)
900 MHz receiver input voltage (8310-880) 12-24 VAC/VDC; relay contact rating 1.0A@30VDC, 0.3A@60VDC, 0.5A@125VAC
Wireless transmitter power consumption (900 MHz) 30mA (standard TX) / 40mA (RX) / 22mA (retrofit TX)
Receiver capacity up to 74-75 transmitters per standard receiver; unlimited for 'universal' mode
Low-voltage wiring Required
BasisStructured, independently qualified product connection evidence
PreparationProvide the appropriate electrical enclosure and fit the push plate to its mounting screws. If an adapter plate, surface bracket or weather ring is selected, install it before securing the push plate to the box. Isolate power to the door header before wiring and check that moving door parts cannot catch the wiring.
ElectricalThe 8310-852T is a hard-wired low-voltage actuator. The push plate is wired to the door controller or to a radio-controlled transmitter using the NO and COM contacts. The wiring diagram page shows interior and exterior actuators wired to the controller terminals for the 4630/4640, 7900, 9100 Benchmark and Senior Swing/Mid Swing operators. The cable run count, conductor count and gauge are not documented in the supplied text.

Conditional connectionsHardwired push-plate activation interface: cable runs quantity unspecified; 2 conductor(s); wire type Copper conductors; Class2 control circuit. Gauge and shielding not specified.; size unspecified; shielding unspecified; rating Wire type: copper conductors for the selected Class2 low-voltage control circuit. Keep this wiring separate from Class1 mains wiring. The cited manufacturer instructions do not specify conductor gauge or shielding. Runs: determine physical cable-jacket quantity from the actual route and parallel-actuator topology; the two-conductor interface count is not a cable-run count. Apply the actual operator and circuit revision. The count is at the selected activation interface; mains/safety/receiver circuits are separate. Nonnumeric alternative context (does not broaden this count): Choose the wired door-controller connection or the local transmitter connection shown in the instructions. These are alternative installations; a universal field cable count is not specified.; endpoints Bare push plate NO and COM dry contacts to External LCN4630/4640 single-door activation circuit shown in manufacturer diagram; when Installation configuration is Only the hardwired4630/4640 single-door circuit illustrated on original manual page4. Two field conductors connect this standard push plate to the activation circuit. Interior and exterior contacts are parallel in that example. Excludes local transmitter connections, receiver power, other operator circuits and cable-run/new-pull quantities; no whole-installation total is implied.
